Do you buy grapes regularly? You really need to learn how to store them properly so they don't go bad in an instant. Alex Jackson, the vice president of sales and procurement for Frieda's Branded Produce, a specialty produce company, told Martha Stewart's website what to do.

He also explained that you should only wash them before eating them, not before storing them. It's best to leave them "as is so they last longer," the expert added. He also advises that you always leave them in their original packaging because they are ventilated in a way that preserves the quality of the fruit.
In addition to all this, he does not recommend breaking up the bunches of grapes because "individual grapes often dehydrate and get mushy much faster." Only break up the bunch before eating.
