The Mistake That's Making Your Candles Smell (Almost) Fragrance-Free

Do you enjoy burning candles in your home? It’s something that requires more care than many people realize. Did you know? It’s important to avoid certain mistakes that can compromise the strength of the scent. For example, you should never burn a candle while the wax is still liquid, warns Robin Fisher, the director of product development at home fragrance brand, arran, as quoted in Woman & Home.
“To keep the scent strong over time, allow the candle to fully solidify before relighting,” the expert advises. “This allows the oils to settle and will give you a stronger scent throw the next time you light it,” he adds.
In addition, he explains that using a candle snuffer instead of simply blowing out a candle “will reduce smoke and soot, preserving the integrity of your candle’s fragrance.”
