GNR rescues young fox in forest after citizen's alert

In a statement, this Monday, the security force revealed that, "following a contact by a citizen who found the animal in a forest area".
The GNR soldiers "collected the specimen" and carried out "the transport and delivery of the young fox" to the Wildlife Recovery Center (CERVAS) in Gouveia, "for monitoring and subsequent release into its natural habitat".
The GNR recalls that, through SEPNA, "its daily concern is the protection of the environment and animals". To this end, the SOS Environment and Territory Line (808 200 520) can be used, operating permanently to report offenses or clarify doubts.
