"I don't understand this PSD European vs. Rui Moreira dossier!

One of three things: either Rui Moreira, in an initial phase, allowed himself to be desired and wanted in order to increase his political capital and, later, never had any intention of running and leaving the Porto City Council, which the people of Porto would not forgive him for; or he realized that the AD would lose the elections and did not want to be part of that story in which he would lose influence for a glimpse of the future (there are polls that already show the PS ahead); or he saw that he was not the first on the list and that the door had been closed on him for European Commissioner (as it seems from the news to have been the case).

However, one thing I know is that the PSD continues to manage everything it does in a haphazard and clumsy way, as happened for the election of the President of the Assembly of the Republic, in the disclosure of the IRS, the choice of some government officials and now the European elections.

Sebastião Bugalho, who is a promising young man, is always a second choice in the eyes of the Portuguese, he is weakened and without the necessary strength for the clash that is coming.

The PSD had many good people who could be the top of the list for the European elections that would be comprehensive and accepted by the Portuguese.

This flight forward, seeming to be a resource, can be counterproductive.

So, in this way and in this way, things don't work well. There is little tuning and something is missing in the gear.

The conclusion I draw from this is that the Lisbon bubble commands political life and the rest does not exist or are secondary actors.

Those who are journalists would like to be politicians and those who are politicians would like to be journalists. However, they are different and opposite worlds.

All the life of Portuguese politics and Portuguese journalism have been intertwined by interests."
