Meta is testing changes to the web version of its social network Threads that could make the platform more appealing — especially to former Twitter (now X) users who have missed TweetDeck.
As a reminder, TweetDeck allowed users to organize their feeds by topic in columns on the web version of the then-Twitter social network. However, after Elon Musk purchased the social network, changes included renaming TweetDeck to X Pro and requiring a Premium subscription to use the feature.
Now, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has revealed on Threads that the social network is testing the integration of columns on the web.
It’s not yet known whether this test will result in the feature rolling out to all users, but if it does, it could provide a more viable alternative to Threads for those who left X after losing TweetDeck.
