Carlos Cunha reveals conversation with Andrew about his mother's death: "Irreparable"

Match analysis: "The task was already difficult, with a complicated context. We knew that Sporting would try to gain an advantage early on, but we also helped make their job easier. We reacted in the second half, but the first half took us out of the game. We were at a disadvantage very early on and Sporting became comfortable. We didn't have the ball in the first half and we limited ourselves to closing spaces. The second half was more successful, but we have to be realistic and realise that Sporting tried to manage the game at that point. Now we have to try to win points in the next game."
Andrew's mother's death: "A difficult moment, we found out very late yesterday. I spoke to Andrew and at no time did he express anything other than wanting to help the team. An irreparable loss and so it was another setback that we had. I'm happy at least that Andrew had no responsibility for what happened, he rose to the occasion and was an extraordinary professional. May we be able to help ease his pain."
Team prepared for Tozé Marreco?: "The team may be in a more negative moment, in terms of building the game it is worth more than it showed today in the first half and I hope that the next coach will have the happiness of empowering the team and uniting it in order to continue. It is a team of true professionals, an excellent work group and I am convinced that things will go well and we will get out of this situation."
