Arne Slot has already been announced as Jurgen Klopp's successor at Liverpool, but he doesn't forget the moments he experienced in Feyenoord's service. In statements to the Rotterdam team's official website, the Dutch coach assumes that this is not an easy exit.

"It is not an easy decision at all to close the doors of a club where so many fantastic moments have been experienced and where so many excellent people have been worked with successfully. But the opportunity to be head coach in the Premier League, at one of the biggest clubs in the world, is difficult for a sportsman to ignore. I am grateful to Feyenoord for being willing to cooperate in this transfer," began Arne Slot.

"I enjoyed my three years at Feyenoord immensely and felt at home from day one, both at the club and among the fans. When I started working in Rotterdam in the summer of 2021, I was convinced that it was possible to achieve success at this wonderful club. The fact that we reached a European final in three years and won several awards makes me more than proud," continued the Dutch coach.

"I am proud of the players and the technical staff who worked hard, day after day, to achieve these successes. Of all the other sections of the club, which contributed, each in its own way, to this success. And, of course, also of the fans, who experienced Feyenoord's many great moments so intensely and passionately. As an opponent, it is already impressive when you enter De Kuip, but when you are really part of the club you feel much more," stressed Arne Slot.

"Feyenoord is the club where I achieved the first great successes in my coaching career and where I experienced many fantastic matches, so I cherish those memories. And, as a football fan, I will certainly continue to follow the club, also because I am convinced that Rotterdam still has many good things ahead of it. I wish Feyenoord and everyone who cares about this wonderful club all the best for the future," he concluded.
