A Swansea restaurant in Wales has publicly shamed a family who allegedly fled without paying their bill at the end of their meal.
Taking to Facebook, newly-opened Italian restaurant Bella Ciao posted a photograph of the family in question and wrote: "To the family who walked out tonight without paying your £329 bill, SHAME ON YOU!"
"The lady tried to pay with a card which was declined twice and said her son would wait inside while she went to get 'another card'. Of course he didn't come back, then the son got a phone call saying he had to leave and ran out," the restaurant continued in the post.
The incident has been reported to the police as the number the group left to make a booking was "false".
"To do this to anyone is disgusting but to do it to a newly opened business is even worse," the establishment concluded in the post.
Speaking to The Mirror, the restaurant's manager Tyrone Rees said he felt "something wasn't quite right" when the family sat down and started ordering. "They were ordering the most expensive things on the menu. But they were also sending food back that they hadn't eaten," he added.
