Hezbollah Member Killed in Israeli Strike in Lebanon
A member of Hezbollah was killed on Tuesday when his car was targeted in an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon, far from the border with Israel, a security source close to the Islamist movement told AFP.

"An Israeli strike targeted a Hezbollah engineer who is a member of the air defence," a source close to the Lebanese Shiite party told AFP.
Lebanese media had earlier reported one person killed in an Israeli air strike in southern Lebanon.
The incident took place in the coastal region of Tyre, about 35 kilometres (22 miles) north of the border with Israel, according to an AFP photographer who saw the charred remains of a vehicle.
The army cordoned off the area as Hezbollah members inspected the vehicle, the AFP correspondent said.
Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA) reported that a "martyr" was killed when a drone targeted a car in the area of Abou el-Assouad, north of the Litani river.
In the past week, and amid rising tensions between Israel and Iran, the Tehran-backed Shiite movement Hezbollah, an ally of Hamas, has stepped up its attacks against Israeli military positions.
On Sunday evening, Hezbollah said it had shot down an Israeli drone over Lebanon, a claim confirmed by the Israeli military.
On Monday night, the Lebanese group said it had hit an Israeli military headquarters in northern Israel with "dozens" of Katyusha rockets, "in response" to strikes on villages in southern Lebanon.
The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has escalated since the start of a war in Gaza on July 8 that has killed 377 people on the Lebanese side, mostly Hezbollah fighters but also around 70 civilians, according to an AFP toll.
In northern Israel, 11 soldiers and eight civilians have been killed, according to the Israeli army. Tens of thousands of residents have fled the area on both sides of the border.
