Electronic bracelet for man who threatened woman with a firearm

On May 14, the National Republican Guard (GNR) arrested a 32-year-old man for domestic violence and illegal possession of weapons in the municipality of Lousada.
As part of a complaint for domestic violence, "the military of the Guard immediately went to the scene, where they found that the suspect had insulted and threatened the victim, a 34-year-old woman, with a firearm", reveals the GNR, in a statement released this Friday.
Following the action, "the firearm was seized and the aggressor was arrested".
The man was present, on the same day, at the Penafiel Judicial Court, and was subjected to the precautionary measures of staying away from the victim, controlled by an electronic bracelet.
