Ator Rui Santos reveals cancer battle. "It was discovered in time"
The news was shared by the singer himself through a post he made on social media.

It was last year that Rui Santos was diagnosed with cancer. The actor shared the news only this Monday, May 6th.
"On March 13, 2023, I received the result of a biopsy and I was diagnosed with cancer, I was operated on three weeks later at IPO (Portuguese Institute of Oncology), the surgery went well and the entire area was removed", he began by writing in a publication on Instagram.
"At the moment I am being monitored, as in all oncological cases. Therefore, I am fine, it was discovered in time and I am calm and optimistic", he also highlighted.
"Thank you for the messages of concern and affection", he said, also leaving his "sincere homage to the entire IPO team and the extraordinary work they do".
"I was amazed by the spirit of humanity and respect for the patients. I cannot describe in words what I felt in that institution. A big hug to all those true heroes who save lives every day", he added.
In the same publication, the actor also explained that "only his true friends knew about this".
"I decided to tell what happened in the first person publicly to avoid misunderstandings. I only told my mother last week because I didn't want her to know. Now everything is clear and may many more good years of life come, because living is wonderful", he concluded.
It is worth remembering that Rui Santos became a father for the second time last February.
