Pilot Delays Flight to Buy Food. It Happened Between Lisbon and Manchester
Flight between the Portuguese capital and the United Kingdom was delayed more than an hour.

An EasyJet flight traveling from Lisbon to Manchester, UK, on Sunday was delayed by more than an hour for a surprising reason.
The reason for the delay was revealed by the plane's captain himself, who took to the microphone to explain to passengers what had happened.
After explaining that he only had two sandwiches to give to his crew, the captain said he felt the need to leave the plane and return to the airport to get more food.
"Now, yes, we are ready to take off. Thank you for your patience," the man said, after arriving at the plane with a box of pizzas. The moment was recorded in a video accessed by the Daily Mail.
The announcement left passengers incredulous at what had happened, and they took to social media to criticize the incident, regretting that their arrival at their destination had been delayed because the flight attendants could not endure a two-hour flight with only one sandwich to eat.
In the meantime, the passengers had to remain seated on the plane for more than an hour while waiting for the situation to be resolved, during which time they were unable to eat.
