Five defendants charged with the crimes of kidnapping, extortion and drug trafficking
The Public Prosecutor's Office (MP) has charged five defendants for co-authorship of two aggravated kidnapping crimes, two extortion crimes, one of them attempted, and one drug trafficking crime, the Lisbon Regional Public Prosecutor's Office reported today.

According to the MP, the facts date back to August 2023 and of the five defendants, only one is not in detention.
According to the MP, a conviction as a repeat offender was requested for two of the defendants, the application of an accessory penalty of expulsion in relation to another and the collection of DNA/judicial identification in relation to all those involved.
The MP's investigation was carried out with the assistance of the Judicial Police.
