A woman has taken to social media to beg for help after accidentally closing a Firefox browser session in which she had almost 7,500 tabs open.
Posting on X (formerly Twitter), the user explained her plight: "Firefox refused to restore my session that I've had going for 2+ years.... Over 7k tabs down the drain."
However, just hours later, her plea for help was answered. "Thank you to everyone who provided info on how to restore an old session from the profile 'cache'... I feel like a part of me has been restored," she wrote, after apparently managing to recover the session.
The post has attracted a flurry of responses, with several other users revealing that they too have thousands of tabs open at any one time. "I think I win," wrote one, sharing a screenshot of their own session, which had 24,166 tabs open.
While some users criticized the woman for having so many tabs open at once, others were more supportive. "Don't listen to anyone. You need all those tabs. In fact, open more," said one.
