In a statement sent to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM), the Portuguese construction and engineering group revealed that Mota-Engil Peru has signed two new contracts with the Peruvian State, worth around 150 million euros.
"One of the contracts is related to the construction of a road bridge in the province of San Martin, with a 36-month execution period, and the second contract is for the maintenance service of a road network in the province of Juliaca - Puno with a total length of 450 kilometres, with an expected duration of 60 months", it details.
With these contracts, Mota-Engil has accumulated around 420 million euros in new contracts won this year in Peru, highlighted as "one of its 'core' [main] markets".
Additionally, Mota-Engil says it has won several new infrastructure contracts in the region totalling 200 million euros, strengthening its presence in Latin America, a "strategic market" for the group, which in March had an order book of 4,200 million euros there.
