When the heat is on, there's nothing better than a getaway to enjoy the warm days. With this in mind, and for those who love fresh air, the Penha Longa Resort, located in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, has prepared new packages.

30 minutes from Lisbon, this five-star resort announces several new features for this summer to recharge your batteries, whether in the comfort of a room, at an Asian dinner, on a walk through the gardens or on a trip to the spa.

The 'Beat The Heat' package includes accommodation in renovated rooms; daily breakfast and dinner (drinks not included); a complimentary guided tour of the 14th-century monastery, every day at noon; and a choice of one of the free activities available at the resort, per person, such as a wine tasting or gin tasting, a yoga or fitness class, a historical tour or a guided tour of the Interpretation Centre. All activities are subject to availability and must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.

All this is available from 436 euros (price for double occupancy) for a minimum stay of two nights. This package is valid from May 1 to September 30.

At the Spices Buffet, where Japanese gastronomy merges with Portuguese, the open kitchen allows the most curious visitors to see with their own eyes the process that brings flavor to the table, watching the chefs prepare the various sushi, sashimi, tempura and teppanyaki dishes. It is open on Tuesdays and Saturdays, for dinner, from 7 pm to 10:30 pm.

All in all, it costs 72 euros per person (36 per child, up to 12 years old). Drinks are à la carte. This offer is valid during the months of July, August and September.

The Sunday Feast - a meal prepared by the chefs - is now accompanied by a 30-minute massage at the spa, with a localized action on the neck and shoulders. The offer, available until May 26, includes access to the wellness areas (sauna, jacuzzi and pool located in the oriental garden) and costs 90 euros per person.

At the Spa Oriental Garden, the 'Summer Vibes' package, available between June 1 and July 31, includes a welcome tea, a 50-minute massage, with the addition of hot stones to relieve tension, and access to the spa facilities (sauna, heated jacuzzi and contrast pool located in the oriental garden, a contemplative garden with gazebos). It costs 70 euros per person.

At the B Lounge Sangria O'Clock, between 5 pm and 6 pm, guests can enjoy a glass of sangria for a special price. The offer is valid in the months of July, August and September.
